Wild Portraits is dedicated to celebrating the rich and diverse flora and fauna of Australasia through the lens and artistry of Craig Boase. Blending conservation, creativity and science, this platform showcases Craig's wildlife and nature photography, detailed natural history artworks, published books, and engaging science communication pieces.
Craig is professional photographer, specialising mostly in wildlife but also in other general nature subjects as well. He is also an accomplished natural history artist, whose work captures the beauty and complexity of the natural world. A number of his works have been commissioned by scientists.
Much of Craig's photography, artwork and nature writing focusses on threatened species, highlighting their plight and raising public awareness.
With two decades of experience in the ecological management industry, he brings a deep understanding of Australasia's unique biodiversity to every project- whether it is through his images, a commissioned work, a book publication, or an educational article.
Craig has done a number of talks to community and nature-minded groups on a wide variety of subjects from reptiles and birds to photography and threatened species. He is also involved in leading wildlife photography and birdwatching tours.
