Spotted-tailed Quoll (Dasyurus maculatus) illustration using 8 x 10″ (20.5 x 25.5cm) Ampersand scratchboard.
Scratchboard is a white clay board coated in black ink. The black ink is then scratched away using various fine tools to expose the white clay.
Listed as threatened in most parts of Australia the Spotted-tailed Quoll is found from north Queensland to Tasmania. It is one of the largest native carnivores on the continent and weighs up to 7kg.
